Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what data TaskEsc (operated by Elipsion Group Holdings LLC, DBA TaskEsc) collects, how we use it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have — including additional rights for California and EU residents.

1. Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to deliver the TaskEsc service. This includes:

Account information

Your name and email address when you create an account. If you sign up via a third-party OAuth provider (such as Google), we receive only the information that provider shares with us.

Address and location

Your service address is stored in your profile and used to locate nearby businesses relevant to your requests. You are responsible for keeping this up to date.

Phone number

If you choose to provide a phone number in your profile (used for SMS result delivery), it is stored and used only for that purpose. We do not share your phone number with service providers we call on your behalf.

Job requests

Each service request you submit — including service type, description, location, preferred time, urgency, and follow-up answers — is stored as a job record tied to your account.

Payment information

Credit card and payment details are processed by Square and are never stored on TaskEsc servers. We retain a record of credit purchase amounts and timestamps for billing purposes.

Call recordings and transcripts

When TaskEsc places an automated voice call to a vendor on your behalf, the call is recorded and transcribed. Audio recordings are stored on our voice provider's secure infrastructure (currently Telnyx); a PII-scrubbed written transcript is also generated and stored alongside the audio. Both are used to deliver your results and for quality, safety, and dispute resolution. Audio recordings and transcripts are retained for up to twelve (12) months from job completion, after which they are deleted automatically. You may request earlier deletion of your recordings at any time via the History page or by contacting support. The automated agent discloses the recording at the start of every call to comply with applicable two-party-consent wiretap laws.

Consent and call records (TCPA compliance)

To comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and state wiretap laws, TaskEsc maintains a tamper-evident consent audit log of each automated call — the phone number dialed, the recording disclosure played, the timestamp, the job it belonged to, and the outcome. These records are retained for seven (7) years as required by federal and state telecommunications record-keeping rules, and are used exclusively for regulatory compliance and dispute response.

Usage data

We log how you interact with the app — pages visited, jobs created, credits spent. This data is used to improve the product and is not linked to third-party advertising networks.

Technical data

Standard server logs include IP addresses, browser type, and timestamps. These are retained for security and debugging and are not used to build a profile for marketing.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data for the following purposes:

  • Service delivery: Running your job — provider search, placing AI calls, parsing transcripts, ranking results, and returning options to you.
  • Automated calling: Your service request details (type, location, timing, budget) are used to script the outbound calls placed on your behalf.
  • Provider matching: Your location and service type are used to identify relevant local businesses. We do not share your personal identity with businesses during calls.
  • Account management: Authenticating you, managing your credit balance, and sending transactional emails (e.g., job completion, low credit alerts).
  • Product improvement: Aggregated, anonymized transcripts and job outcomes are used to improve parsing accuracy and provider ranking.
  • Legal and fraud compliance: Detecting and preventing fraudulent or abusive use of the platform and complying with applicable law.

We do not use your data for behavioral advertising and we do not sell it to third parties.

3. Data Sharing

TaskEsc shares your data only to the extent required to deliver the service.

  • Service providers we call on your behalf: The automated agent shares only your service request details (what you need, when, and roughly where). Your name, email, account ID, and payment information are never shared with businesses.
  • Sub-processors: We use Supabase (database and auth), Square (payments), Telnyx (AI voice calling), and OpenAI (transcript parsing and ranking). Each receives only the data necessary for their specific function.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or regulatory authority, or to protect the safety of users or the public.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. AI Calling — Recording and Transcript Storage

When TaskEsc places a call on your behalf, the call is recorded and transcribed. Audio recordings are stored on our voice provider's secure infrastructure (currently Telnyx), and a PII-scrubbed written transcript is generated alongside. Both audio and transcripts are stored to:

  • deliver your results (availability, pricing, and service notes)
  • let you review the full call from your History page (audio + transcript)
  • support dispute resolution or result corrections
  • satisfy state two-party-consent wiretap laws (CA, FL, MD, WA, and others)

Audio recordings and transcripts are retained for up to twelve (12) months from job completion. They are stored securely, are not sold or shared with third parties, and may be deleted earlier upon request via the History page or support contact. Separate from recordings and transcripts, our consent audit logs (which record that a recording disclosure was played before each call) are retained for seven (7) years to satisfy TCPA and state wiretap-law record-keeping obligations.

Calls are placed by an automated voice agent that identifies itself as automated and discloses that the call is being recorded at the start of every call. The agent does not impersonate a human.

5. SMS Communications

TaskEsc sends SMS text messages only to users who voluntarily add a mobile number to their profile. These messages exist solely to support the core job workflow described above.

What you will receive

  • A one-time verification code when you add or change your phone number.
  • Follow-up questions from TaskEsc when your job request needs clarification before we can begin contacting service providers on your behalf.
  • Transactional job-status notifications (for example: results ready, job complete, or credit-related alerts).

What you will never receive

  • Marketing or promotional messages of any kind.
  • Messages from any third party.
  • Messages for any purpose other than facilitating the service you requested.

Consent is opt-in

SMS consent is strictly opt-in. You are not enrolled unless you explicitly add your mobile number to your TaskEsc profile after reviewing the SMS Messaging Policy in our Terms of Service. Providing a phone number is entirely voluntary; you can use TaskEsc without one, and you may remove it from your profile at any time, which immediately stops all SMS.

Opting out

You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any TaskEsc message, or by removing your phone number from your profile. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts.

Help

Reply HELP to any TaskEsc message for support, or contact support@taskesc.com.

Frequency and cost

Message frequency varies by your activity and is typically between zero and ten messages per job. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Mobile information sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

6. Cookies and Analytics

TaskEsc uses session cookies only — strictly necessary to keep you logged in across page loads. We do not use:

  • tracking or advertising cookies
  • third-party analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • fingerprinting or cross-site tracking technologies

You can clear session cookies by logging out or clearing your browser storage.

7. Data Retention

Different categories of data have different retention windows, based on what the data is, what regulation governs it, and how long we reasonably need it. Our default is to keep data for the shortest period that still lets us deliver the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

Consent audit logs (TCPA recording disclosure records)7 years, as required by federal and state telecommunications rules.

8. Your Rights

You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data. See Section 9 below.
  • Portability: Request your job history and account data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests where it affects you.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@taskesc.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Deletion Requests

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@taskesc.com from the email address associated with your account. Upon receiving a verified request, we will:

  • Delete or anonymize your account record and associated job data within 30 days.
  • Delete call transcripts tied to your account immediately (outside the default 90-day schedule).
  • Retain billing records as required by law (7-year financial record obligation), in anonymized form where possible.

Deletion is irreversible. Any unused credits at the time of deletion are forfeited.

10. California Residents (CCPA) and GDPR

California residents

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants California residents the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell data), and the right to non-discrimination.

To submit a CCPA request, email privacy@taskesc.com with the subject line “CCPA Request.” We will respond within 45 days as required by California law.

EEA and UK residents

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, GDPR applies. Our legal basis for processing your data is contract performance (delivering the service you requested) and, where applicable, legitimate interests (fraud prevention, product improvement). You have the rights described in Section 7 above.

Note: TaskEsc is currently available to US users only. EEA/UK residents should not create accounts at this time.

11. Security

We apply industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

  • TLS encryption in transit for all data between your browser and our servers.
  • Encryption at rest for database storage via Supabase.
  • Role-based access controls limiting which systems can read personal data.
  • No storage of raw payment card data — all payment handling is delegated to Square.

No system is completely secure. In the event of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

12. Children

TaskEsc is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact privacy@taskesc.com and we will delete it promptly.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of TaskEsc after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
